I’m OK By Myself…
This is for all the boys who took Home Economics instead of Woodworking Shop. For our international readers, Home Economics is a class where we were taught to cook, sew, and manage household finances. "Shop" or Woodworking Shop is a class where they were taught how to make birdhouses and other projects involving hammers and nails. Since I am left-handed (in both senses), I defaulted to Home-Ec, and I can only say that I’m an excellent vegan / vegetarian cook. My friendly Imperial Tailor obviously learned how to sew better than the softgoods workers in China.

These will probably NEVER be on a store shelf in your lifetime, but only the Swami, 42N-TLR, and Mr. Curto know what the future holds.

Other than having that to say… this is an open post. Feel free to fire off questions, comments, criticism, queries, or basically anything starting with a hard ‘k’ sound.

What do you know about any potential PlaySets or suprise new vehicles (BMF-size or otherwise) coming this fall and when did you know it.

Crikey! (there’s your hard ‘k’ sound). These are really, really, good! Just when I thought a soft goods emperor just wouldn’t work. Is there a pattern maybe?

Master Vos: What is this "play set" you speak of? Everyone knows that toys are not meant for PLAY, but for DISPLAY. BMF-size? Hrm… let me do my math? Aren’t people already convinced that the AT-ST is coming? (Hey, I’m shocked, too, but in this economy things can change quicker than Broccoli Spears whilst miming her songs.)
RD-22: You know, I think there might be a pattern for such soft-goods. I’d have to check. Otherwise, I can probably refer you to a quality tailor.
[Yes, I'm suspicious about questions coming in one minute apart, too.]

I got a lot of the ‘mo genes, but I seemed to have missed the sewing one <cries>

The Learning Annex is your friend. (Or your community college or whatever.)

who says you have to have ‘mo genes to sew?

‘Mo genes, suspicious genes — anyone can do it! I make puppets on my wife’s old Good Houskeeping machine (yeah, its an old one). I’ve tried the cloak-thing, but haven’t made one i liked yet. Certainly not as nice as those.
