Such a video, well…
Sorry for missing the Tuesday blog, but we had work to do around Galactic Blogger HQ here in Atlanta, GA. My poor, beleaguered PA has been encoding a high resolution copy of the AT-TE promotional video for your viewing pleasure. (That means don’t play it at work unless you have headphones!)
So if you’ve told the loud people behind you to shush, and you’re ready to see it, here ya go:
So there you have the simple embedded version. It’s got good resolution, and I can’t recommend that you put it on YouTube, I just know if I were a kid I’d be thrilled to see it there over and over and over again. (I think that’s called viral video, no?) Ahem…
Also for your viewing pleasure we’ve cooked up a very high resolution version of the video, which you can download right here. (Large download warning!) We’ve also put together a TV resolution version (for those of you who can import video into DVRs and whatnot). Just don’t e-mail me asking about codecs and stuff. We don’t have tech support here.
Just for the sake of blogging, I did ask Hasbro about possibly making a DVD of the vintage commercials (which we all remember and cherish) but, sadly, they don’t have all the rights necessary in this age of DVD, Blu-Ray, and YouTube. If one of you would like to go door-to-door and get all the kids (who are now adults) to sign off on it, then we can have it.
Now let’s just hope that Hasbro does a cool promotional video for the BMF Millennium Falcon.

Thanks a billion! That does take me back…even if there are no kids in plaid shirts mimicking Billy Dee Williams badly…surprise surprise, I’m Lando in disguise!Good job Hasbro (and the agency behind the advert). I’m sold! I want another half dozen AT-TEs!!!

PS - now I know why the legs pop off so easily…so you can do a camera POV shot of one stomping a battle droid by holding it just off screen!
