Work Is A Four-Letter Word
This is just an odd post for the handful who might see it, but…
I’d like to say hello to a few of the people who have been looking at the site (as one can see via their IP addresses).
Hello to visitors from Hasbro; Mattel; Zizzle; Playmates; LEGO; Gentle Giant Studios; Boeing; the United States Government; all of the military men and women who are looking — Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard (we salute you, as always); NASA; the IAEA (!); JPL; GSFC; ARC; the United States Trademark and Patent Office; Marvel; Cartoon Network; CNN; Turner Networks; The New York Times; Disney; Raytheon; SETI; Apple; Microsoft; the Department of Defense; Pixar; Reuters; Northrop-Grumman; Paramount; the Associated Press; the BBC; The Human Genome Project and Research Group; and The Lucas Film family of companies! (Hi guys!)
Now each and every one of you get back to work! (OK, the military men and women can take a break, but you other slackers need to work through lunch or something.) We love you all, and thanks for reading.
P.S. Someone at my doctor’s office was looking at the pix! I’d better get some more free samples next time I visit!
P.P.S. Well, now this is a front-page news post. So, several sources have confirmed that the alleged vehicle (that’s what I call it) is coming out in JULY, as in this summer. Not July 2009. July 2008, as in this summer. Get your money ready. Strippers all around the globe will go hungry this summer.
A few quick notes:
To the forumites who say I staggered the info on purpose. No, really, ya think? My good looks and smooth moves only get me so far. Oh yeah, and the forum-dwellers ripped me to shreds as I blogged the development of the AT-TE. Cut me a small break.
To the forumites who say this was a staged leak by Hasbro. I wish. They can leak to me any time, but this was not leaked by Hasbro, or anyone who works for them. (Again, I wish!)
To the forumites who are ready to plunk down $150 — rock on! If you hear anyone say the "C" word, set to kill, not stun. You’re my kind of scum.
MSRP is $150. If parents will spend crazy money on a fake pony, they’ll buy the alleged vehicle.

Hey, that’s what I said! BTW, are you the Adam that used to live in Orlando, FL? If so, you bought some stuff from me yeeeeeeeears ago.

Yes, that’s me, Chuck. (Don’t think I’ve forgotten.) You’re the reason I have Wedge V. 1.0 from the carrying case. That Pony is evil, I tell you.

WOO HOO! It’s close enough to my birthday that I can hornswaggle my folks into buying it FOR me. ROCK ON!
"You’re all clear kid now let’s buy this thing and go home!"

I’m a Taurus, so I’m finagling three out of people.

This is one of those turning points for us, ya know? Who’da thunk we’d ever see something like this? I could easily do $300 standing on my head for a couple of these…

One of the key things that people need to know is that Hasbro hasn’t been dishonest. They may have not been very forthcoming, but I would guess they have their reasons. When people talk about plans and leaks, etc. I’m just laughing. This isn’t a paying gig, so it’s there because it’s COOL, and I know I was sure happy to see it.
Seeing the overall positive reception for this piece is great because I’ve nagged for larger pieces and stranger pieces. If this piece sells (and the AT-TE — don’t forget that Clone junkies!) I firmly believe that it will tear down a wall that will lead to bigger things.
July can’t come soon enough now.

They’re using an ANH Leia for an ESB scene on the cardback! Stoopid Hasblow! No really, this is awesome. Compared to the crazy prices people pay for Sideshow/Medicom figures/dioramas and the like, $150 for this doesn’t bother me. I hope I can still get a decent amount selling my POTF2 Falcon on Ebay), as it just became a big waste of space. Even though I know it wouldn’t be anywhere near to-scale, I’d love to see a Turbo Tank/Juggernaut if these succeed. Kids love big wheels, right?

Kids do love big wheels. Just cross your fingers and watch retail. (Oh yeah, and if you see any people who have misappropriated the ship, warn the store manager.) I’m very serious about this ship and the AT-TE selling well at retail. If you find someone who has done harm to them, just point, and I’ll kick some butt. (I have a friend in the airline industry. I can fly cheap. Don’t even think about pulling a switch-out on it!) Not you, Kevin, others. You know what I mean. Er… bedtime.
