I’m not the biggest fan of comic books, so it’s no shock that the Comic 2-Pack series doesn’t pique my interest much. However, since readers have asked, I tried to get the highest resolution image of the upcoming Princess Leia and Tobbi Dala (a name that strikes fear in the hearts of, well, no one) Comic 2-PackHasbro. These bullet points are all subject to change at Hasbro‘s whim, but it looks like Her Majesty will sport a new head, a holster, and articulated knees. (The knees are a major point of contention, and I’m not sure that I see articulation there, but some readers insist. Click on the pic to see a larger version.) For the record, Hasbro has stated that she has a new head and a holster, and that’s it. Those of us who are holding our breath for an in-scale Princess Leia (Hoth) with articulation may have to wait a bit longer.

 

What has my Star Wars Underoos in a twist is the grievous (no pun…) use of the 1998 Battle Droid head sculpt for the upcoming STAP Attack Battle Pack. That head is about as wrong as giving Britney Spears and David Hasselhoff custody of a bottle of vodka. Hasbro, for the love of The Force, we complained about this at Comic Con in 2007. It’s just wrong. Do not want! (As the LOLcats would say.)

I’ll write a bit more tomorrow, as HellSouth seems to be "fixing" tornado damage in my neighborhood, and that means lots of downtime. Feel free to comment, and hopefully I’ll get to my cookie comedy bit tomorrow. (Wait… it’s stupid, you’ll see.)
